Company History:

The story of Precious Moments began in the early 1970′s, when creator Sam Butcher began drawing the endearing teardrop-eye children he called Precious Moments as gifts for family and friends. Today, his Precious Moments artwork is among the most recognized art in the world, sharing messages of loving, caring and sharing with collectors from around the globe. The success of the Precious Moments figurines was amazing, yet Sam never lost touch with his original purpose to create art which combined his heartfelt emotions with his abiding faith. The collection is now well over 1,500 pieces with new introductions offered each year. Members of collector’s clubs continue to be found throughout the world. No other collection has touched as many hearts as Precious Moments, and no other group of individuals has the same love and passion for this product line as the team here. We are more committed than ever to expanding the success and vision of the Precious Moments legacy.

Licensing with Precious Moments:

Precious Moments, Inc. (PMI) is the Licensor that develops and oversees the licensing program for Sam Butcher’s illustrations. A full-service creative and licensing organization based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.  Precious Moments preserves the integrity of the artwork and evaluates each potential Licensee to ensure that each product is in keeping with the PRECIOUS MOMENTS® brand philosophy. By restricting the license to a prestigious roster of companies and through a strict approval process, Precious Moments, Inc. protects the artwork and marketability of all products.

With a variety of more than 11,800 PRECIOUS MOMENTS® images in its growing online library, Precious Moments, Inc., along with Sam Butcher, meets the demands of the changing marketplace and is always researching and creating new images.  Precious Moments works closely with Sam, who keeps his finger on the pulse of the market and national issues, using his artwork to help others by conveying inspirational messages of the day. Precious Moments, Inc.’s licensing department evaluates all new product proposals against the following criteria to ensure the best licensed merchandise:
